The Liebstrosity!

My sweet friends http://crackingmyegg.wordpress.com/ and http://doesitevenmatter3.wordpress.com have nominated me for the Liebster award.  So in answer to their questions…

1. What is your secret talent? Instinctively intuiting people in such a way that I can either help them greatly or take them all the way down, depending on how I feel about them.

2. What was the last book you read? A Soul Remembers Hiroshima by Delores Cannon.

3. Where would you like to be in 30 years? A famous 81-year-old author with a lively love life and not too awfully many wrinkles.

4. In one sentence or less, how would you describe yourself? I’m irreligious, sensual, flighty, intuitive, calm, spiritual, introspective, and creative.

5. If you had 3 wishes what would they be? For people to stop oppressing and killing each other over religious issues. For people to make wise reproductive decisions on their own so the poor world doesn’t implode under the weight of her own children. Oh… and I want to be able to fly. That would be fun.

6. Which fairytale is your favorite and why? As in Grims Fairytales? Meh. I don’t really love any of them. If you’ve read the originals (as I have), you know that they’re all gruesome horror stories and Disney rendered them as inaccurately as possible in order to remove all the gruesome parts. But the closest thing to a fairytale I liked as a kid was probably At the Back of the North Wind by George MacDonald.

7. What is more plausible, the existence of Bigfoot or the explanation of U.F.O.s as being intelligent alien visitors to our planet? Both… but if I have to choose then U.F.O.s simply because they are many times more often reported.

8. When was the last time you danced to music when no one was watching? While making super last night or any night. It doesn’t matter what’s playing; I’m dancing to it.

9. Who was your childhood hero? The actor/dancer/singer Gene Kelly.

10. What topic should I blog about next? A romantic memoir out of your life. I love those.

About Ampbreia

I'm an ex-Pentacostal, ex-Muslim, ecclectic Agnostic with slightly Wiccan leanings. I am not affiliated with any organized religion or political platform, but I do believe in magic and all things wise and wonderful. I work as an admin in a calibration lab. I've published 2 books so far this year: Lost in Foreign Passions: Love and betrayal, passion and loss in the heart of an alien land (a memoir of my time as a Muslimah and living in Iran for a year), written under my previous married name, Debra Kamza, and Dream Lover (a paranormal romance, the tale of witch that summons her favorite character out of a Bewitched spin-off and the actor who plays him as well). I'm constantly writing stories and poems, thoughts and dreams, and quite a few opinions - many of which are not popular but oh well. Bite me. I'm interested in art, animals, the paranormal, and people. I love to dance, all sorts, but have been studying belly dance since 2006 and LOVE it! I love anime too and love dressing up and going to conventions. My writing runs the gummut of historical, science fiction, fantasy, romance, and erotica. Beware: I may not be safe reading for work. Just saying....

  2. The spooky thing is, or was, and stout grammarians might tell us which one is correct, I was actually visiting your Blog when that funny light thing went on in the top right hand corner of my page, and it was you announcing very sweetly that you had passed on this award. I really am a bit chuffed and looking round for something to celebrate with: Its so nice of you. Ok, I will not write anymore or I may spook you out, and that would be rude

No, you have to write. It’s your job, don’t you know? But what does “chuffed” mean? I had a rabbit who used to make a sound like that just before charging my brothers like a little black bull; always so much fun the way he made them climb the back of couches while to me he was just as sweet as a little bunny can be.

  3. “Chuffed” is a northern English for ‘very pleased’ or ‘thrilled’. The main pet of my childhood was also a rabbit, who used to bit his way through the wire grill to his cage and go off and chase next door’s chickens, ( causing a degree of inter home tension ) To me, also he was a pal and treasure, and I still think of him with that black patch over his right eye and long smooth feeling ears.
