I was a bit dismayed at feeling I didn’t have a good costume for Sakura Con coming up, so Jeb said he’d get me one. All I had to do was find it. Well I found some but let him pick which he liked. He didn’t really like any of them. But then as I looked, I came across a page that had corset tops on it and was just idling through it when Jeb (who I hadn’t known was there he’s so sneaky), suddenly commented, “I like that one. You should wear that one.”
I can’t post a picture of it here because I couldn’t copy it, but it’s at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C7X8YL0/ref=twister_B009NKUV8E
As to my aSIMulations of me, Jeb, Stephen, Lori, Dana, Carolyn, and Molly, I finally got them all settled into their joint home: a beautiful little castle. Settling them in wasn’t easy as I was pushing the limits of the game in some ways, but they are all living happily together now.
Dana likes to sneak up on people to startled them, will randomly stop whatever he’s doing to meditate/brood, pouts on occasion, and will something cackle “MWAHAAHHAHA!” out of the clear blue sky while rubbing his hands together maniacally. The ladies all love him so he’s pretty much never alone except when he’s sleeping, try as he might.
He’s very Celtic in dress and manner. When Carolyn and Lori finally dragged him onto a dance floor, his dance form very quickly evolved into a very distinctly Celtic format and he’s really good at it too.
I assigned them all their own bed rooms, btw, but Stephen is the only one that ever keeps to his own bed. They others keep trying out everyone else’s and will even go into each other’s rooms (of choice) to play video games in the middle of the night regardless of whether or not there’s someone sleeping in there. I don’t know how to make them behave.
All of them like to run around a play tag with each other. All but Dana, Lori, and Molly like to wander around the castle in whatever they sleep in and for some that’s not much. I have to tell them to get dressed.
Lori bought an expensive tennis outfit in the future and that’s her absolute favorite thing to wear anywhere.
Lori is MISCHIEVIOUS. She likes to prank people and will quite often initiate the time portal into the future without anyone’s permission or escort. She keeps taking off there and every time she does, I have to follow her because I have access to her character only when she does that. The console insists she has an opportunity there she needs to complete. But the truth is, she just goes there to play cool games and fly around with her jet pack and shop.
When she rolls her shoulders forward in the future, the jet pack pops out of her back. When she rolls them back, it goes away again. She’ll do this over and over again sometimes and giggle about it every time. Maybe the “opportunity” is merely to have fun? She certainly knows how to do that!
When she’s back in the present, she seems to relate best to kids and teenagers, chatting and playing games with them. Being generally silly.
Molly also relates well to kids. She can’t cook though. Keeps burning things. I’m trying to think of a way to bar her from the kitchen entirely lest she burn the castle down, stone or not. She’s really handy with a wrench, though and can repair just about anything that breaks. She’s feminine but not keen on dresses or the celtic look. Left to her own devices, she wears a flowing tunic with shorts and sandals.
Corolyn is very feminine and popular with everyone, not just the opposite sex, and, like Dana, is seldom alone. She’s a pretty good cook too. This may be contributing to her popularity. Also, of course, the fact that she’s gorgeous.
She’s seldom really serious. I watch the guys flirting with her and she’s pretty kind to them, listening attentively, compassionately, but the minute she thinks they’re being too forward, she’s making silly faces at them and suddenly finding something else to do elsewhere.
Jeb and Stephen are both really shy but Jeb will dance with the ladies, and quite well, while Stephen is horrified at the very thought. Jeb is a book worm, more keen on reading than flirting. He shyly refrains when the ladies invite him into the hot tub… yet he’ll skinny dip on his own in the middle of the full moon night. Oh. And he likes to wander around the castle at any time of the day in his tighty whities unless I specifically tell him to get dressed.
Stephen surprisingly let Lori and Molly teach him how to rollerskate though whereas Jeb avoided that altogether. He isn’t a graceful skater though. He falls and he brings others down with him pretty regularly, but he always gets up again and keeps trying.
His Sim version is a teenager (he’s 20 in real life). He can be sassy and has sometimes run afoul with Dana on this account, but he’s mostly well behaved and, unlike most teens in real life, will actually sit down and do his homework before anything else. I’ve discovered I can actually bother him while he’s doing it just by freezing the game for a few minutes here and there while I correct, delete, or add decoration or detail to the castle around him. If I’m messing with the dining room while he’s studying there at the table, the minute I go back on live, he moves to whatever room I’m not working on at the time and turns to give me THE LOOK if I follow him there.
Of all of us, I’ve gotten to know the Ampbreia Sim least of all. I’ve been paying more attention to what the others are doing. I was pleasantly surprised to see on the acquaintance charts that Stephen actually liked her as well as his father. Jeb, however, has been mostly ambivalent toward her – except when they’re dancing together.
I’ve made them fun places to go and will be adding more as I think of them. There’s a roller rink they all go to as well as a dance club.
I’ll be posting pictures later. Was going to do it last night but it was getting too late.
