I’m just going to get this out of my system, okay?

Greifs:

1.  Islamist thugs!  GAH!  We should have no dealings with Islamist governments, no trade, no aid to, no education of, nothing that could remotely support such… except to offer assylum to their women and religious minorities who will be suffering under the brunt of the Islamists.

2.  The Day of Rage.  They’re all about that aren’t they?  Bad economies in Egypt and Lebanon and the Islamic Brotherhood are out there rabble rousing in the streets, burning tires and things just like they did the other day with an effigy of the Pope and President Bush(wtf?) when the Pope criticized Christians being persecuted by Muslims in the Middle East (which they ARE quite violently – to include mass murders and kidnappings).

Hah!  It’s okay for Muslims to demand rights and respect without earning it over here, but for non-Muslims over there to do the same, or even having anyone else speak up for them, they find it an outrage.  Hypocrits.

Now they’re raging against democratically elected goverments and asking the support of all factions: Agnostics, Christians, Jews, Bahais, Sunnis, Shias…  They say leave all your other banners of political/religious associations at home and take only a national flag.  THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD DID IN IRAN and the people are still falling for it!  The Muslim Brotherhood will use them to take over the government then accuse their helpers of all manner of treason and have them summarily executed in large numbers.  And look at them all like lemmings, rushing to their deaths off the edge of cliff!

NOTE:  Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.  Poor fools.

3.  I have a vendor that is seriously pissing me off.  Sent them a large number of calibrations to do in October and December, a set of jobs normally done within a month by nearly any other comparable cal vendor and they have them STILL.  They keep asking for new quote sign offs each month, conveniently “losing” the quote I’d signed previously, and each time increasing the price.

Well I lost something too last time I called for status.  All I did was sweetly ask them what had happened to make them the slowest in their industry: an earthquake, hurricane, tornado, tsunami, major power outage due to high wind storms… what?  They had no answer except in their silence the obvious one: complete incompetence.

When they sent me yet another inflated quote and grossly extended due date for the same items again this morning, I couldn’t even muster the sweet tone of voice to talk to them and asked a tech to do it in my stead.  I am about to remove all of our company’s business from their sorry asses if I have anything to say about it.  They are not worth the ulcer!

Okay.  Got that off my chest!  I’m better now.  Not that anyone here would care.  Just the same, I really need to put down for properity the recipe I invented for dinner last night.  It turned out very good if a tad bit on the spicey side:

Spicey Stewed Terriyaki Chicken and Vegetables

In a pot, saute together in olive oil: 1 chopped medium onion, 2 TBSP chopped garlic and 1 TBS minced ginger, stirring frequently because it will try to stick.

When onion is fairly golden and translucent, add 3 cups of water (or Ginger Ale) a cup of soy sauce, a cup of sweet chili sauce, and 8 boneless, skinless, chicken thighs, and one package of frozen bell pepper strips.  Cover and bring to a boil on medium heat, stirring now and then and breaking up the chicken as it cooks.  Add a few large handfuls of fresh mixed veggies…

I used a carrot, brocoli, cauliflower mix.  I definitely recommend califlower being in there somewhere because the sauce cooked into it gives it a wonderfully unique taste and texture.

When all was tender, I mixed 1/2 cup cornstarch with an equal amount of soysauce and water, stirred it together with a fork until smooth, and then added it to the pot.  I stirred the pot then until the gravy was reasonably thick and nicely translucent.

Meanwhile, I made rice to go with it.  It made a surprisingly delicious meal.

About Ampbreia

I'm an ex-Pentacostal, ex-Muslim, ecclectic Agnostic with slightly Wiccan leanings. I am not affiliated with any organized religion or political platform, but I do believe in magic and all things wise and wonderful. I work as an admin in a calibration lab. I've published 2 books so far this year: Lost in Foreign Passions: Love and betrayal, passion and loss in the heart of an alien land (a memoir of my time as a Muslimah and living in Iran for a year), written under my previous married name, Debra Kamza, and Dream Lover (a paranormal romance, the tale of witch that summons her favorite character out of a Bewitched spin-off and the actor who plays him as well). I'm constantly writing stories and poems, thoughts and dreams, and quite a few opinions - many of which are not popular but oh well. Bite me. I'm interested in art, animals, the paranormal, and people. I love to dance, all sorts, but have been studying belly dance since 2006 and LOVE it! I love anime too and love dressing up and going to conventions. My writing runs the gummut of historical, science fiction, fantasy, romance, and erotica. Beware: I may not be safe reading for work. Just saying....
